Please visit and “like” our page to stay up to date! Technology and social media has had a tremendous impact on the wedding industry. In particular, the research and planning tools available to brides goes well beyond traditional website resources like theKnot.com or other directory listing sites. Today, brides utilize playlists instead of DJs, paperless invitations instead mailings, and digital cameras instead of photographers. And the ability to share pictures of their special day with family and friends gets easier every day. With tools such as Twitter’s Periscope, brides can even stream a live feed of their wedding with a smart phone! Online purchases in general continue to soar in almost all industries. The wedding industry is no exception. But, in some areas, the numbers for online purchases remain relatively low. It turns out that the vast majority of brides still purchase their wedding dress at a local store. Why? It’s likely the fact that brides want to touch and feel their dress. They want to make sure the dress fits just right. And they want the personal attention and advice that comes with a bridal store!
